Dresscue is now open in Studio City! This high end, rent-a-rack, second-hand store was founded by a Finnish-American woman named Kati. This kind of consignment shop is very popular in Nordic countries like hers and when Kati moved to Los Angeles, she knew the concept would be a huge hit. Needless to say, she was totally right.
In November of 2021, Kati opened her first brick and mortar Dresscue location in Atwater Village. It was an immediate sensation in the quaint Los Angeles neighborhood and the local community was eager to shop and sell!
It was such a success, that they’ve now opened a second Dresscue location in Studio City! Nestled in what’s known as the Silver Triangle, on Ventura Blvd. between Whitsett Ave. and Laurel Canyon Blvd., this ultra chic and popular area is known for its amazing and unique shopping and dinning experiences. It’s basically our version Melrose Ave., on this side of the Hollywood Hills.

So How Does Dresscue Work?
The buying and shopping side of Dresscue is pretty straightforward. You visit during store normal business hours, browse all kinds of clothing from vastly different sellers, try on what you like, then purchase what you love. All while saving HUGE amounts of money on designer, vintage and like new clothing. Not to mention you’ve “rescued dresses” that may have not had a second life in your closet and simply gone into a landfill.
It’s more affordable and more sustainable than traditional shopping. Dresscue inventory is changing all the time (likely everyday). Even if you come in multiple times a week there is always something new to find! Everyone wins.

As a seller, you rent and reserve a clothing rack online via their website for a small fee. You bring up to 50 clothing pieces and 5 accessories at a time. Then via their platform, you create price tags for each item. On your first selling day, you simply bring your clothes, Dresscue provides everything you need: the hangers, price tags and security alarm tags. As they sell your clothing, you can track your sales and come back with more items to restock your rack. You essentially have your own rack in a clothing store! The rack is all yours for 14 days. At the end a 15% commission goes to the Dresscue.
The Dresscue Studio City location is special because they are allowing the buying and selling of kids clothing too! This is a huge opportunity for all parents to reduce waste and save money on their constantly growing kid’s wardrobes.
