Who is Hand in Hand?
Hand in Hand is SO much more than a soap company. With every purchase they donate soap and clean water to children around the world in need. This company wasn’t started to merely make great self care products, it was ALL to make a real difference in peoples lives.
It began in 2011 when the founders, Bill Glaab and Courtney Apple, discovered that millions of children were dying each year from water-related illnesses that could totally be prevented by simply washing their hands. They came up with the idea that with a buy one, give one program with something as simple as soap, they could save countless lives around the globe.

On a Mission…
Through their give back program, Hand In Hand has provided over 17 million bars of high quality soap and 18 million gallons of water (per year) across 25 different countries, since 2011. They partner with two other amazing organizations as well, to deepen the impact they have at the local level.
The first organization is Eco Soap Bank, on a mission to employ women to recycle soap from manufacturers, for non-profits in developing countries. The second is My Neighbors Children, a nonprofit committed to the world’s most vulnerable and impoverished children. They are dedicated to the families and communities who face poverty, injustice, and uncontrollable circumstances of life, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
Together these organizations repair and install clean water wells and recycle and distribute leftover hotel soap.
High Quality Clean…
Hand in Hand Soap only uses Fair Trade ingredients that sustain people and our planet. They just proudly received their B-Corp Certificate. Everything they make is vegan, cruelty free and made with ingredients you can trust and pronounce.
Things like: shea butter, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, coco butter, essential oils, and soothing aloe vera. All of their formulas and scents are free from palm oil, parabens, phthalates, SLS/SLES, EDTA, PEGS and BHT. They also carry completely fragrance free products for people with extra sensitive skin.
Thoughtful Packaging…
Their mission has always been to make better products, by making better choices. This includes their commitment to their infinitely recyclable and super durable aluminum packaging and recyclable paper soap boxes. Also, by choosing bar soap in general, you’re eliminating excess and unnecessary water from products while also cutting down on shipping costs and emissions.

My favorite product from them is their Sugar Scrubs. They’re made with extra-fine sugar, coconut oil and shea butter. It gently exfoliates and nourishes, leaving you with smooth glowing skin. Their Cactus Blossom scent is a rich and uplifting base of bergamot and crisp basil, paired with a punch of fresh eucalyptus.
