Where to shop…

Lace up your comfy shoes, this is a place you can shop until you drop (or at least until closing time). These are the stores I could not afford to miss on this trip to Desert Hills Premium Outlets!

GANNI

Somehow, I had never heard of this brand, but I’m so glad I know about them now! Ganni is more of a state of mind than a way of dressing. It’s ALL about making women feel like they are capable of anything. They’re the first to admit that the fashion industry isn’t the perfect picture of sustainability. However they are taking taking every step they can to be the best version of themselves possible. Check out their latest responsibility report covering everything from product, to planet and people.

REFORMATION

We all know and love this brand! Famous for sustainability at the core of everything they do. With a humble start in 2009, by selling vintage clothing out of a tiny store LA. They quickly expanded into creating their own styles with a major focus on sustainability. They are now known for their effortless silhouettes that celebrate the feminine figure and amazing sustainable practices, that focus on people and progress, every step of the way.

KATE SPADE NEW YORK

Not only does this brand carry some of the most playful handbags I’ve ever seen in my life, they have an entire nylon handbag collection made from at least 40% recycled materials. In addition to this, Kate Spade New York has a deep connection and mission to empower women and girls around the world by putting mental health at the heart of their social impact work. This includes working with an intentional supply chain that also aims to empower women globally.

ALICE + OLIVIA

Alice + Olivia is committed to minimizing their fabric waste and finding new and innovative
ways to go ‘zero waste’. In 2020, they partnered with sustainability pioneer and designer @ZeroWasteDaniel to take excess fabric and customize existing denim pieces: breathing fresh life into their FW2020 collection. During covid, Alice + Olivia launched the #MaskTogether initiative, featuring a line of limited-edition protective face masks made from excess jersey material, furthering their commitment of minimizing fabric waste.

ALO YOGA

This new location is now open at Desert Hills Premium Outlets. I didn’t know this but, ALO stands for Air Land Ocean. This is because they care just as much about HOW their clothes are made, as they do about how they fit and feel. They recognize they’re part of an industry that too often pays no mind to the people who make the clothes we wear and the environment around us. They knew from day one that they HAD to do better.
