What is Clove + Hallow?
Clove + Hallow is an artist-founded, vegan beauty brand. They make edgy, ethical and minimalist products that are brilliantly bold and packed with a pigment punch. Every product is cruelty free and is made using 15 ingredients or less.

How it all began…
Clove + hallow founder, Sarah Biggers-Stewart graduated from engineering school and felt majorly disconnected from the traditional career paths that awaited her. Instead, she followed her gut and entered the beauty industry as a freelance makeup artist.
Sarah admits she never set out to create her own makeup line. What began as an exciting cosmetics career doing makeup for magazines and huge clients, came to a screeching stop when she was suddenly hit with a mysterious illness. Everything from vertigo, short term memory loss, extreme lethargy, severe depression and debilitating panic attacks left her bedridden for months.
She saw several doctors but was left with very few answers. Out of desperation Sarah went in a direction she had never considered before- holistic medicine. Finally, this lead to a diagnoses and treatment. Shortly after, Sarah began feeling like herself again and was back at work within a month. This eye opening health scare made her super-aware of ingredient safety and quality. It was from that moment on she became obsessed with natural beauty products.
Bringing Bold Quality to Clean Beauty
Back in 2015, there was a major gap in the market for clean beauty products that actually worked. Sarah quickly realized how much she would have to lower her expectations when it came to clean beauty. Everything was too sheer, too limited in shades, too pricey, and dare we say…boring? It was then Sarah knew she could do so much better. In 2017 she launched CLOVE + HALLOW, now an award-winning clean beauty brand. It has since been featured in Oprah’s O List, Allure, Good Housekeeping, and on Good Morning America.
Today, Sarah is a new mom with a renewed passion for encouraging people to see themselves for the badasses that they are and continuing to create products that move the needle towards better.
Looking to the future…
Sarah see’s herself as a makeup artist and a data-driven product formulator. She helps develop most Clove + Hallow formulas in their Atlanta-based production studio. Her ultimate goal is to create luxe products that use ethical and efficacious ingredients. To utilize sustainable packaging and manufacturing practices that lessen the load on our planet. While also conducting robust safety testing from start to finish.
