CHARLOT Fragrances candles are cinematically inspired, scented, small batch, coconut soy, candles made locally in Los Angeles.
Charlot Fragrances (pronounced shar-low) was created by two Los Angeles natives and siblings, Andy and Kelsey. Growing up in La-La Land they developed similar tastes and interests while pursuing two very different paths in adult life. Kelsey is currently in law school, while Andy has spent the last few years immersed in lifestyle brands as the Director of Business Development at an innovative spirits venture backed by Drake.
Despite their wild career differences, they’ve always shared a love for fragrance and candles. Kelsey had always been the candle aficionado and Andy was also passionate about all things fragranced- whether it’s a niche cologne, the nose on fine spirits or even candles.

As the pandemic broke out, along with the widespread stay at home restrictions, the pair found themselves cooped up, spending more time at home like the rest of us. Enjoying and leaning on candles more than ever, they were inspired to create their very own CHARLOT Fragrances candle collection, with a mission to positively transport anyone who lights the candles they make.
They began by creating their signature fragrances. Growing up in LA, feeling a close connection to the city and its history of telling stories through film, their vision was to present fragrance through a cinematic lens.

They selected classic films meaningful to them personally, using iconic scenes in each as inspiration for the essence or mood they wanted to express. In collaboration with a fragrance house with over 260 years of experience, they developed four uniquely cinematic scents that form their first collection:
Paris Apartment, Inspired by the nonchalant setting to a legendary dialogue between lovers in the seminal French New Wave film, “Breathless”.
Roman Hot Spring, Inspired by the setting Fellini imagined in search of his personal truth in his semi-autobiographical film, “8 1/2”.
First class, Inspired by the dashing meeting between Roger Thornhill and Eve Kendall on the train in “North by Northwest”.
And my favorite, Moroccan Lounge, Inspired by Rick’s Café, the legendary “gin joint” and famed setting in “Casablanca”.

The packaging is designed to reflect the vibrant spirit of Los Angeles. Each vessel is hand-painted in thematic colors with matching wax. CHARLOT Fragrances uses all- natural coconut soy wax (not paraffin, which is made from petroleum as a by-product of producing gasoline) and all of their candles are made in small batches locally in Los Angeles. More than anything CHARLOT Fragrances aspires to uplift any setting that uses their candles.
Their ultimate goal is to inspire a vibrant cinematic experience from the comfort of your home with their transportive candles. They are beyond excited to grow thier audience and hope to create a wide range of fragrance goods in the future, which I personally can’t wait for.
By transporting the audience just like any great film does, these cinematic candles transform any room into an electrifying, magical moment that feels just like the movies.
